This contract is to provide DCFS staff access to the CASII and ECSII training, the CASII assessment tool, and revisions (CALOCUS-CASII). The CASII and the ECSII are standardized, multidimensional assessment tools designed to assist qualified mental health professionals and associates in determining the appropriate intensity/level of mental/behavioral health services. The assessment tools are designed for use with children and adolescents aged 6-18 years (CASII) and 0-5 years (ECSII) who are experiencing psychiatric, substance use, medical, and/or developmental concerns. The assessment tools help eliminate variability in service determinations across providers and regions while ensuring that service levels are matched to clinical necessity and family circumstances.
