The objective of this project is to improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and enhance lighting quality across three municipal buildings—Town Hall, the Department of Public Works, and the Public Library. By replacing outdated fixtures with modern, energy-efficient lighting, the Town aims to lower long-term utility expenses, reduce maintenance needs, and provide better illumination for staff and the public. The Town of Boxborough is seeking qualified contractors to provide and install new energyefficient lighting fixtures at three municipal properties: Town Hall, the Department of Public Works (DPW), and the Sargent Memorial Library. A comprehensive lighting audit was completed in June 2025, which identified existing conditions and recommended specific fixture replacements for the Town Hall and DPW Facility. Detailed spreadsheets for each property outlining the quantity, type, and location of new fixtures are provided as part of this Bid Document. The selected contractor will be responsible for: 1. Supplying all specified lighting fixtures, materials, and equipment. 2. Removing and properly disposing of existing fixtures in compliance with applicable regulations. 3. Installing all new fixtures as identified in the audit spreadsheets. 4. Ensuring all work meets local building and electrical codes, as well as manufacturer specifications. 5. Coordinating work with Town staff to minimize disruption of municipal operations. All work must be completed within the mutually agreed-upon project timeline for both parties and budget advertised. Location of Work Work will be completed at: 1. Boxborough Town Hall – 29 Middle Rd, Boxborough, MA 01719 2. Town of Boxborough Department of Public Works – 873 Massachusetts Ave, Boxborough, MA 01719 3. Sargent Memorial Library – 427 Massachusetts Ave, Boxborough, MA 01719
