This project will require a professional engineering firm to provide support services applicable to the Federal Aviation Administration Part 139 Airport Certification Program. Included tasks will be to provide routine inspections, including runways, taxiways, aprons, lighting, signage and markings, navigational aids, Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting stations, etc.; manage inspection discrepancy database; coordinate the inspections by the FAA with the various Airport Districts; prepare correspondences to the FAA and other agencies for compliance with Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations Part 139 on behalf of the Airport Districts; coordinate the plan of action with the HDOT Airfield Section for potential projects to address various deficiencies; coordinate airfield related maintenance activities; provide status updates to the various Airport Districts; and provide continual training to Airport District staff.
