The work consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to rehabilitate four potable water storage tanks at two project sites, each site containing two 50,000-gallon steel water storage tanks. Base Bid items include removing and replacing interior roof-to-rafter joint sealant; repairing interior and exterior coating deficiencies; modifying and installing new overflow piping; and designing and installing a new fiberglass interior tank ladder with stainless steel safety post. Work also includes installing a new welded steel D-ring fall protection anchor, repairing and upgrading the tank vent screen assembly, addressing localized corrosion caused by existing stainless-steel components, and protecting all interior and exterior coatings throughout construction. Interior and exterior spot coating repairs shall be completed in accordance with the applicable coating specifications. Bid Alternate items include complete removal and replacement of the exterior tank coating system and complete recoating of exposed exterior piping. Engineer’s Estimate for the Base Bid is $209,000. Engineer’s Estimate for the Bid Alternate is $204,000. The successful lowest responsible bidder will be determined on the basis of the lowest Total Base Bid amount. Project duration, 30 Working Days for Base Bid, or 60 Working Days if Bid Alternate is awarded, from date of the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall possess a Class A license prior to submitting a bid.
