The Scope of Work consists of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for construction of Mountain View Retention Basin and Storm Drain Improvements Project in accordance with the plans, specifications, and other contract documents and shall generally consist of the following work: mobilizations and demobilization; all traffic control (including furnishing and installing all arrow boards, barricades, signs, delineators, and flagmen as necessary); storm water prevention and protection implementation; protecting in place all existing utilities and private improvements; all utility locating and pothole verification (excavating, exposing, and verifying top, bottom, and side of utility facilities); clearing, grubbing removal and disposal of all existing improvements required for construction, including asphalt concrete berm, underground storm chambers; asphalt concrete pavement, subgrade and PCC cross gutters; all grading (including excavation, embankments, hauling, disposal, shaping, and compaction) for Retention Basin construction; installation of energy dissipating rip-rap structures; disposing of excess soil and rock material and restoring all areas; all trenching (including saw cutting, removal, shoring, sloping, bedding, backfilling and compacting select native or imported material); furnishing and installing all storm drain piping, laterals and concrete structures (including manholes, dry wells, headwalls, etc.); connections to existing storm drain infrastructure; cut, plugging and abandon of existing piping; video inspection of all storm drain; walls, fencing and gate installation; PCC driveway installation; construction of asphalt concrete pavement and aggregate base, including asphalt concrete overlays and t-section repair; installation of asphalt concrete berms, pavement restriping; all necessary improvements to bring any areas damaged to pre-construction conditions; and all items not mentioned but indicated in the Plans, Specifications, and the Special Provisions within the Contract Documents required for a properly operating system.
