The Work of this contract will generally consist of: abatement of lead and asbestos containing materials by a qualified abatement contractor; removal and replacement of concrete barriers, tubular hand railing, and bridge deck; removal and replacement of girders and diaphragms; removal and replacement of concrete pedestals and bearing assemblies; removal and replacement of water line and appurtenances; removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks, curb & gutter, wingwall, and approach slab; removal and replacement of unsound concrete; removal and reconstruction of roadway structural section; fill concrete cracks with epoxy; utility relocation; traffic control; signing and striping work; and appurtenance work as required.
