The project has several phases, which consists of replacing existing old fiber optic infrastructure with newer fiber technology, which will enhance the infrastructure, and communications between several buildings within the MDFR Headquarters campus located at 9300 NW 41st Street, Doral, Fl 33166. It was determined during the walk-through to replace the existing fiber optic cabling in multiple buildings and connect them all back to the new cisco core switches in the main building. The new fiber optic infrastructure will align with ITD standards. The vendor is to provide Miami Dade County with a quote that will include purchase of all fiber optic cabling (Miami Dade County will provide parts numbers for all fiber optic equipment) for the vendor to acquire. Vendor will install the fiber optic cabling to the following locations stated on the scope of work and ensure that all communications are tested using a qualified optical fiber cabling tester (Fluke) and/or other reliable supported and certified tools to ensure that the test reports show any critical issues that impact network performance and uptime. Fluke Networks Fiber Optic testing tools help certify that power losses are within standards and troubleshoot broken and high loss links on single-mode and multimode fiber all with ease-of-use, accuracy, and durability. Vendor will provide Miami-Dade County their fiber optic cabling infrastructure design and drawings for review and approval. Vendor will purchase all hardware, accessories, materials to establish a 100% working communications between all designated buildings. Vendor will include all necessary, high-end industrial surge protectors, outdoor lighting Protection if required, “NO UPs” inside NEMA enclosures. Vendor will ensure that all conduits’ openings are protected and sealed once completed, to protect the fiber optic cabling from water, bugs, or insects’ intrusion. NOTE: Vendor needs to contact Project Lead immediately if they find any damaged conduits during the process of conducting work on-site. Vendor will include in proposal the cost for the purchasing and installing an estimated 5,500 FT of single mode fiber optic cabling. Vendor will need to perform their own measurements to provide Miami-Dade County with an exact amount of single mode fiber optic cabling that is required to complete the project effectively.
