The County of San Diego is seeking quotes from firms interested in providing labor standards education, outreach and engagement services for workers; The County of San Diego’s Office of Labor Standards and Enforcement (OLSE) has a requirement for advice line services, which include providing education on labor laws and case referrals in order to reach workers in San Diego County. The qualified contractor(s) shall have demonstrated experience in community-based services, including in lowincome, immigrant, and limited-English proficient communities. Services are to include consultations, referral services, and outreach. Contractor(s) working in tandem with other organizations to fulfill services is encouraged but not required. The Contractor’s advice line shall function as the primary entry point for workers seeking assistance, offering timely, accurate information, screening potential labor law violations, and facilitating direct connection to OLSE for matters requiring enforcement review. In conjunction with the advice line, the Contractor shall also lead and conduct outreach, education, and engagement activities to promote awareness and reduce fears of retaliation.
