e of Work: a. Roofing contractor is responsible to protect all finished surfaces with plywood, ram board or appropriate material during demo process. Any damage toDistrict property will be the responsibility of the Contractor to repair. b. Any line sets or equipment that must be temporarily raised to successfully install the new roofing system is the responsibility of the Contractor.Contractor is responsible for cost and coordination with any necessary trades required to properly lift line sets. Any disconnected line sets are required to be repaired by the Contractor back to their original condition. c. Install charcoal filters on any areas of intake if applying material whileany building is occupied. d. Remove any non-functional equipment during the demo process. Equipmentto be removed will be indicated with red paint. e. Contractor is responsible for the cost and coordination of any ACMabatement required per the ACM results provided. f. Skylights: Re-use existing skylights. Roofing contractor is responsible to roofin per 2-ply flashing detail. g. Fascia: Perform repairs as needed to damaged fascia. Contractor to include 400 lf of fascia replacement in base bid. District to indicate which areas are to be repaired. If the replacement amount required exceeds 400 lf, the Contractor will be issued a change order per the lf pricing provided. If the replacement amount is less than 400 lf, the Contractor is to issue a credit to LGSD basedon the lf pricing. i. Contractor is required to provide linear foot pricing for newplywood fascia in base bid. ii. Contractor is required to supply and install new primer + paint tofascia boards with District approved paint color. h. Tear off existing roof system down to the structural deck. i. Decking: Perform deck repairs as needed to damaged plywood. Contractor to include 10% deck replacement in the base bid. If the replacement amount exceeds 10%, the Contractor will be issued a change order based on the sq.ft amount over 10% by the unit price amount. If the replacement amount is less than 10%, the Contractor is to issue a credit to LGSD based on the sq. ft amount under 10% by the unit price amount. Manufacturer must approve deck conditions prior to installation of new materials. i. Contractor is required to provide unit pricing for new plywood decking in base bid. j. Mechanically attach rosin paper and ½” DensDeck prime coverboard overthe prepared deck per manufacturer’s ASCE 7-16 approved fastening patterns. 1) New crickets fabricated from polyisocyanurate insulation are required to be installed behind all curbed units a min 2x the roof slope prior to coverboard installation.
