The County of Lexington is seeking sealed proposals for comprehensive health care services (medical, dental, and mental health) for the inmate population of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. The County operates a detention facility at the following location: Lexington County Sheriff's Department 521 Gibson Road Lexington, SC 29072 Our average daily population at our Detention Center for 2025 averaged 624 inmates, approximately 86 of those are females. Our old jail houses up to 300 inmates and is used for maximum security. The annex, which is minimum security, houses up to 172 inmates. Our main facility houses approximately 446 inmates. We booked approximately 9,000 inmates in 2025. We have an on-site operational clinic that services all inmates. We provide physician visits for medical problems three (3) days a week in sick call, nursing services are available 24 hours a day, seven (7) days per week. A Medical Doctor is on-call 24 hours a day, seven (7) days per week for medical questions and emergency referral. Mental Health services are provided on-site by a counselor and psychiatrist
