The City of Galt (“City”), Finance Department is requesting proposals from qualified certified public accountants to audit the City financial statements for three fiscal years beginning with the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. These audits are to be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, the standards set forth for financial audits in Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller of the U.S., the provisions of the federal Single Audit Act, and the audit requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principals, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). There is no expressed or implied obligation for the City to reimburse responding firms for any expenses incurred in preparing proposals in response to this request. Materials submitted by respondents are subject to public inspection under the California Public Records Act (Government Code Sec. 6250 et seq.), unless exempt.
