The objective of the contract is to have the Consultant serve as the City’s Resident Engineer, along with appropriate staff required for Project inspection, contract administration services, quality control, traffic management, safety, storm water quality, public relations and outreach, claims mitigation, document control and construction management. The Consultant’s Construction Manager shall be a licensed Professional Civil Engineer registered in the State of California, with strong general civil engineering construction skills, depth of resources, and sensitivity to local and regulatory issues. “Consultant” is the team providing construction engineering services; “Contractors” are the firms who are awarded the construction work.
