The work consists of performing stormwater improvements and partial flood mitigation upgrades at the Miami-Dade County Data Processing and Communications Center (DPCC), located at 5680 SW 87th Avenue, Miami, FL 33173. The project includes drainage improvements, retrofitting of the existing drainage system, and associated site restoration. Work to be Performed (including, but not limited to): 1. Coordinate all activities with existing utility crossings to avoid conflicts and service interruptions. 2. Protect existing structures using filter fabric and install/maintain erosion and turbidity barriers throughout the duration of the project. 3. Excavate and remove existing drainage structure(s) as required. 4. Install one new drainage structure with a pollution retardant baffle (Structure S-1). The existing exfiltration trench is to remain in place. 5. Excavate and install approximately 30 linear feet of 18-inch perforated HDPE pipe with 3.5 feet of exfiltration trench. 6. Core and drill existing sump pump connection to install 12-inch HDPE solid pipe. 7. Excavate and install two new drainage structures with pollution retardant baffles (Structures S-2 and S-3). 8. Excavate and install approximately 124 linear feet of 18-inch HDPE solid pipe. 9. Excavate and install approximately 25 linear feet of 18-inch perforated HDPE pipe with 3.5 feet of exfiltration trench. 10. Install and compact backfill material in controlled lifts. 11. Install drainage grates and frames. 12. Install base course, tack coat, and asphaltic concrete top coat to restore disturbed pavement areas. All work shall comply with Miami-Dade County standards, applicable codes, and project specifications. The contractor shall be responsible for site safety, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring full restoration of any disturbed areas.
