A. Contractor shall remove and legally dispose of portions of the existing damaged insulated roofing panels, soffit panels, cantilever W-beam (bolted on), purlins, CEE channels, and any other components deemed damaged and necessary to install new cantilever W-beam, purlins, CEE channels, soffit panels and new insulated roof panels according to the specifications outlined in this Exhibit A, Scope of Work. B. Contractor shall remove and legally dispose of damaged sections of all 47 existing roof panels. The panels shall be cleanly cut parallel to and directly above the edge of an existing purlin, approximately eight feet (8’) from the end of the roof panel. New roof panel endlap support angles, minimum two and a half inch by two and a half inch (2 ½” by 2 ½”), shall be installed onto the purlin. Caltrans Contract Manager will determine the location of cut. The cuts shall be clean and so that the new panels can be cleanly butted up and fastened in place. The cuts shall be made with a circular saw using a sheet metal cutting blade. Consult roof panel manufacture for endlap construction details. C. Contractor shall remove and legally dispose of the existing damaged soffit panels, damaged purlins, damaged CEE channel and associated trim. D. Contractor shall unbolt and remove all nine (9) of the existing damaged W-beams. Contractor shall legally dispose of the bolts, nuts, and W-beams. E. Contractor shall ensure that the new W-beams (W10x22), Z-purlins (10x2.5Z12) and CEE channel purlin (10x3.5C14) shall be equivalent to the existing members and shop primed for corrosion protection...
