The purpose of this service is to enable the California Military Department (CMD) to perform annual inspection, maintenance, certification, and where applicable, six-year internal maintenance of portable fire extinguishers as required by California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 19, and NFPA 10 Portable Fire Extinguishers standards. All extinguishers will be brought into full regulatory compliance to ensure operational readiness and life safety protection. By fulfilling these objectives, the Contractor will help CMD to ensure fire safety and fire code compliance are observed within the facility. All work must adhere to CMD’s policies, standards, and applicable regulations, and it will be evaluated against defined performance criteria (see Section 3).
