Annual inspections and services shall occur during regular business hours (7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) at a mutually agreed-upon time between the Contractor and the City’s designated representative. The annual service and inspection shall include, but are not limited to, the following: A. Lube Oil Analysis: A lube oil analysis will be performed on all units once per year. The cost of the oil analysis will be included in the maintenance cost, and the analysis report must be provided to the City’s representative. If the units require more frequent service due to extended use, the Contractor shall perform additional maintenance at the same rate as the annual service. B. Diesel Fuel Analysis: A diesel fuel analysis will be performed once per year for all units. If the fuel is found to be contaminated, the Contractor will clean and filter the fuel at the City’s option. The fuel analysis report must be submitted to the City’s representative. C. Engine Coolant Analysis: Coolant analysis will be conducted once per year for each diesel-powered generator unit. If deficiencies are identified, the Contractor will submit a separate proposal for a complete cooling system flush and refill. D. Filter Replacements: All oil, fuel, and fuel/water separator filters and lubrication oil shall be replaced annually. Air filters are excluded from replacement. E. Inspection Checklist and Report: The Contractor will prepare a checklist for each generator and engine, documenting the inspection date and detailing the condition of the equipment.
