Lowndes County, on behalf of PruittHealth Corporation, is requesting sealed bids from qualified electrical contractors to furnish and install emergency standby generators at five (5) nursing home facilities located throughout Lowndes County, Georgia. The complete scope and technical requirements are defined in the attached Electrical Engineer’s Drawings and Specifications prepared by CBHF Engineers, PLLC (Project No. 25103, “Engine-Generator Additions,” dated 12/05/25). Contractors may submit multiple bid options, such as varying generator manufacturers or delivery timelines, provided all options fully meet the minimum requirements of these specifications and the attached construction drawings. SECTION 2 – FACILITIES INCLUDED Emergency standby generators shall be furnished and installed at: 1. PruittHealth – Crestwood 2. PruittHealth – Holly Hill 3. PruittHealth – Lakehaven 4. PruittHealth – Parkwood 5. PruittHealth – Valdosta SECTION 3 – MINIMUM GENERATOR CAPACITY REQUIREMENTS Based on engineering specifications and facility load analysis: Crestwood – Minimum 230 kW Holly Hill – Minimum 230 kW Lakehaven – Minimum 230 kW Valdosta – Minimum 200 kW Parkwood – Minimum 350 kW All generatorsshall be diesel-fueled, equipped with integral belly tanks, and meet all performance, design, testing, and installation requirements contained in the engineering drawings and specifications. SECTION 4 – SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, permits, and supervision required forthe complete, functional, and code-compliant installation of an emergency power system at each facility. The scope includes, but is not limited to: 1. Furnishing and installing diesel-powered standby generators meeting the minimum facility ratings listed above. 2. Providing concrete housekeeping pads where required. 3. Furnishing and installing automatic transfer switches, feeders, conduits, grounding systems, and associated electrical infrastructure as shown in the engineer’s drawings. 4. Reconfiguring existing electrical service to integrate the generator and ATS system. 5. Providing all trenching, backfill, compaction, penetrations, sealing, and surface repairs necessary for a complete installation 6. Coordinating required outages, ensuring continuity of critical circuits unless otherwise approved by the Owner. 7. Preparing a Temporary Power Plan for any required service interruptions. 8. Performing load-bank testing in accordance with the drawings and manufacturer requirements. 9. Providing training, as required (see Section 8). 10. Providing O&M Manuals, as required (see Section 8). 11. Compliance with all specifications noted on E-1 through E-15, including: General Notes Electrical Specifications Wiring methods Grounding requirements Nameplate and identification requirements Testing requirements Raceway and conductor requirements (Refer to drawings E-1 to E-15)
