Fairfield County seeks a qualified contractor to provide asphalt pavement and installation of a new parking lot. The contractor will provide repairs to including repaving and restriping of the existing parking areas at the Fairfield County Transit Authority Administrative Building. The awarded contractor shall furnish all asphalt pavement materials, equipment, labor, and tools necessary for the installation of a new parking lot and the repaving of existing. The contractor shall repave the existing parking areas located at the front and rear of the administrative and maintenance buildings with new asphalt pavement and restripe all parking areas in accordance with the current layout, including all entrance and exit lanes. The minimum technical services to be provided under this contract are as follows: New Parking Lot Installation New Parking Lot in Front of Building (Approx. 1,166 SY): Contractor shall excavate the designated area (approximately 105' x 100') to a uniform depth of eight (8) inches and properly dispose of all excavated material off-site (approximately 258 CY of grass and soil). Cleaning the area of all grass, soil, and debris prior to paving. Grading and paving the new parking lot with asphalt pavement. Striping the newly paved parking lot in accordance with the design layout. Re-Paving Services Contractor shall mill and repave at least four (4) feet in front of the Administrative Building. Contractor shall repave the backside area located in front of the Maintenance Office. Contractor shall repave the backside area of the Maintenance Shop. Contractor shall repave the entrance and exit lanes located in front of the Administrative Building. Contractor shall restripe the parking lot in accordance with the existing striping layout.
