The Contractor shall perform all inspection and maintenance services as specified herein and as necessary to maintain the optimum level of efficiency for each specified piece of equipment. The Contractor shall replace all parts requiring replacement in accordance with the Parts Replacement Section specified herein. The Contractor shall provide the requested services on the dates specified by the State. The Contractor shall perform services during designated business hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, State holidays and weekends excluded. Annual maintenance services shall be paid by the State at the Annual Maintenance Services Rate specified in Exhibit B-1, Rate Sheet. The Contractor shall provide the following Annual Maintenance Services: 1. Check contact clarifiers sequence to verify proper performance. 2. Check contact clarifiers screens and replace if needed. 3. Check contact clarifiers media and replace or replenish as necessary. 4. Check contact clarifiers wall metal for rust and recoat walls if necessary. 5. Test/calibrate and replace all pressure switches. 6. Adjust/calibrate all DeZurick pneumatic valves. 7. Replace any DeZurick pneumatic valves if required. 8. Test/calibrate air blowers for proper operation. 9. Test/calibrate flow meters. 10. Inspect Aries air system for proper operation, replace/upgrade if damaged. 11. Inspect filter media levels and replenish or replace as required. 12. Inspect filter underdrain to ensure proper filtration. 13. Repair or replace filter underdrain if required with current approved underdrains. 14. Check filter backwash sequence for proper operation. 15. Inspect filter media and replenish or replace if needed. 16. Perform other corrective actions to ensure proper design operation. 17. Inspect Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) for proper operation. 18. Check all PLC cards and replace any card if required. 19. Upload Power Control Module (PCM) based PLC routines and archive. 20. Check installed options for software upgrade, advantages if any. 21. Check components for damage, moisture, vibration, dust and static. 22. Verify correct date and time in PCM, Update if necessary. 23. Log operation and report any defects to the Institution Contract Liaison or designee
