The City of Pacific Grove (hereinafter referred to as “the City”) is soliciting proposals from experienced and capable parties interested in operating Food and Beverage Concession at the clubhouse – known as the Point Pinos Grill (hereinafter referred to as “the restaurant”) – at the Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Links (hereinafter referred to as “the Golf Course”). The successful respondent will be responsible for providing food, beverage, and tournament/meeting and banquet services to golfers and non-golfers, and operating and maintaining restaurant facilities (kitchen, dining area, restrooms, beverage and snack bar, and outdoor patio). The proposing individual or company shall demonstrate the ability to perform in this type of business, clearly articulate achievable plans for operation, and document compliance with appropriate laws and regulations. The selected concessionaire shall demonstrate the ability to implement a concession program that will meet or exceed the objectives of the City of Pacific Grove as well as incorporate innovative ideas that are appropriate for this concession. The primary goals of the City with respect to the operation of the Point Pinos Grill are: (1) To develop a service-oriented and responsive food service program, which places customer satisfaction, facility cleanliness, consistent food quality, and revenue growth as its priorities; (2) To provide a high level of service to golfers and non-golfers and to work cooperatively with the City at all times; (3) To ensure that the City receives adequate and appropriate compensation from the private business allowed to operate on public property.
