This solicitation is for a qualified firm to provide and install appropriate base materials, filter cloth, and turf block-type paving blocks per the town specifications. Proposal should be for a lump sum with scope of work. Unit prices per square foot will be provided for this project, and additional work outside of the original scope. The intention is to leave the whole area in a pervious condition to mimic natural stormwater conditions. The target beach access is 12th Avenue South, and may be extended with mutual consent of the parties to other beach accesses. Town staff will excavate the target site footprint 12 inches deep. Contractor will provide and install: o Filter fabric o 8 inches of 57 stone base material o Grid open-cell paver blocks (Tremron, Turf Block (or similar) 3 1/8 inches in height. Finished installation shall be edged with plastic paver edging. o Final four inches, including fill for open cells will be 7-8-9 stone o Proposal for 12th South should assume a footprint of 1800 square feet. o Work area will be closed during installation, and shall be left in a clean and orderly condition before demobilization.
