Mowing and trimming of grass areas, trim hedges, and grounds maintenance. The contractor shall perform the work at each location such as weed-eating, trimming, clean-up, and mowing. Grassy areas inaccessible to mowing machinery shall be trimmed as needed. Mowing and trimming around all fixed objects, including but not limited to park equipment, benches,and signs, shall be done carefully so that damage does not occur. The County of Marion shall contact the contractor to ascertain when special activities are scheduled. Any damages before or during servicing of a location must be reported to the Park Director as soon as possible. Replacing soil, reseeding, and watering. Soil significantly disturbed by the mowing process shall be returned to its original placement and reseeded if grass is removed. The contractor will work with the County of Marion to coordinate the watering and seeding as needed. Branch and litter removal. The areas to be mowed shall be cleared of branches, limbs,remove /replace trash bags in the garbage can, and litter prior to each mowing cycle. Leaf and litter pickup methods include but are not limited to air blowing, raking, vacuuming, mowing, and mulching. Additional Work. Will be determined by the Buildings Director and can include but not limited to straw & mulch replacement, herbicide application, landscaping timber replacement, and landscape design.
