Supply and delivery of one (1) High-Temperature Horizontal Tube Furnace system capable of continuous operation at a maximum of around 1700°C. The system shall include the furnace body, power supply, programmable controller, atmosphere end seals, and all necessary interconnects. 2. Construction & Design • Orientation: Horizontal benchtop design. • Shell Construction: Double-walled dual-shell construction. • Cooling: Utilizes an integrated air-cooling system (fan assisted) between the inner and outer shells to ensure the outer skin temperature remains safe to touch and to protect terminal connections. • Insulation: High-purity fibrous block graded insulation or equivalent insulation designed for maximum energy efficiency and temperature uniformity. 3. Thermal Specifications • Continuous Operating Temperature: 1700°C. • Uniformity: ± 2°C (or better) within the central uniform zone. 4. Dimensions & Capacity • Tube Capacity: The furnace must accommodate a process tube with a minimum Inner Diameter (I.D.) of 3.125 inches (approx. 79mm). • Heated Length: Minimum 12 inches (300mm). 5. Atmosphere Containment & End Seals • Process Tube: Vendor shall supply one (1) High-Purity Alumina process tube sized for the furnace (approx. 3.125” I.D.). The tube ends must be modified or adapted to mate with the end seal assembly described below. • End Seal Assembly: One (1) pair of Stainless Steel water-cooled end seals (one for each end of the tube). • Flange Connection: The end seals must be modified to include KF40 (NW40) vacuum flanges to facilitate quick-release high-vacuum connections. • Cooling: End caps must feature integrated water-cooling channels to protect the seals during high-temperature operation. • Sealing: Must utilize high-temperature O-rings (Viton or functional equivalent). • Gas Ports: Caps must include standard ports (e.g., 0.25” Female NPT) for gas inlet/outlet.
