The services requested herein are for preparing a comprehensive parks system assessment, vision, and strategy for the City of Tucson Parks and Recreation Department. The consultant will collect and analyze data to develop a clear set of goals, policies, standards, and recommendations for Tucson’s existing and future parks and recreation facilities and programs for the next fifteen years. The department desires to make data-driven decisions for funding parks and programs that takes into consideration diversity, equity, inclusion, sustainability, environmental stewardship, and resiliency. The selected consultant will work directly with a project team with representatives from the capital planning and development division, recreation division, aquatic section, and administrators with the Parks and Recreation Department. The consultant will also work with various internal and external stakeholders, government partners, the Parks and Recreation Commission, and other local and regional organizations.
