The purpose of this bid solicitation is to solicit bid responses for fencing services including, but not limited to, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance for chain link fencing, law enforcement facility security fencing, ornamental metal fencing, and various other fences. It is the intent of the Trenton Police Department to award a contract to the lowest, most responsive and responsible bidder. Bidder whose submission conforms to this bid solicitation and are most advantageous to the City of Trenton, Police Department, price and other factors considered. The awarded Contractor will be selected to perform services based on the following considerations, and in accordance with the items below: A. The most cost-effective proposal received B. Quoted timeframes for repairs Bid responses will be reviewed in accordance with bid solicitation requirements and specifications. The bidder must submit pricing for all price lines in a category to be considered for an award. Failure to submit pricing for all price lines in a category will result in the bidder being deemed non-responsive. The Categories and Types are listed below: A. Category I – Standard chain link fencing: 1. Type I – Aluminum-coated and vinyl-clad chain link fence and installation; and 2. Type II – Specialty fencing and installation. B. Category II – Additional fencing: 1. Type I – Ornamental metal fence. 2. Type II – Vinyl fence including plastic snow and PVC type. 3. Type III – Wooden fence. 4. Type IV – Motorized automatic fence gates; and 5. Type V – Steel barricade. C. Category III – Emergency repairs to security fencing: 1. Type I – Standard fabric. 2. Type II – Anti-climb security fencing fabric. 3. Type III – Framing. 4. Type IV – Fitting and accessories; and 5. Type V – Barbed tape (razor ribbon). D. Category IV – Preventive Maintenance These terms are in addition to the terms and conditions set forth in this Bid Solicitation and should be read in conjunction with them unless the Bid Solicitation specifically indicates otherwise.
