The purpose of this IFB is to obtain competitive bids for the parts, materials, and labor necessary to repair one (1) Gas Turbine 6 Infrared (IR) Load Gearbox. A recent inspection report, included as an attachment to this IFB, documents observed conditions such as worn bearings, worn and corroded hardware, missing seals, damaged gearing, and wear on certain shafting components. Photos of the gearbox housing, bores, gearing, shaft assemblies, and related components are provided to show the condition as inspected. Based on these findings, the unit is expected to require replacement parts and repair services to restore it to operational condition. Bidders are responsible for reviewing the inspection report, photographs, and specifications, and are encouraged to take advantage of the optional site-visit window to examine the gearbox prior to submitting a bid.
