The selected contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, traffic control, mobilization, and other incidental items necessary to furnish and apply the proposed pavement preservation treatment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and best industry practices. Work shall include: Surface Preparation: Cleaning and sweeping of designated streets prior to material application, including removal of debris and loose aggregate where required. Material Application: Uniform application of the approved treatment at manufacturer-recommended rates, temperatures, and weather conditions. Application equipment shall be calibrated to ensure proper spread rate. Material shall not be applied during rain, on wet pavement, or when surface or ambient temperatures fall below the manufacturer’s recommended limits. Traffic Control: Provide and maintain traffic control in accordance with KYTC and MUTCD standards for the duration of work, including signage, lane closures, flagging, and reopening procedures.
