Entails all material, equipment, labor and incidentals to conduct Resurfacing, Restoration and Rehabilitation (RRR) including leveling/base repair improvements for the Walking Track and northwest parking area at the Mike Ford Tennis Center at Stimpson Park: 600 Morphy Avenue; Fairhope, AL 36532. The bituminous asphalt walking track is 8-foot wide and ±2,200 linear feet in length – 1,956 square yards. The northwest car parking is 1,260 square yards and will include striping and marking. Materials and workmanship shall be per the enclosed plans and specifications. This is a quantities-based project, and all quantities will be field verified prior to payment. Bidding Contractors shall field verify all conditions prior to submittal. Bid is broken down by material quantities listed in the bid/quote documents. This project includes the repair of sections of walking track that have suffered uplift, buckling and deformation due to root intrusion and other environmental factors. The quantities for such repairs have been estimated at 20% of the total surface area of the cart paths. These repair areas will be marked by the contractor and approved by the City Engineer prior to any work. This will be paid by the square yard and that price shall include the following work: a. Marking of repair areas b. Full depth and width milling c. Removal of all vegetative debris d. Addition of any required aggregate (All millings are to be reincorporated into the base layer) e. Base Processing and Full Compaction – achieve by vibratory compaction or plate tamper f. Placement of 1-inch of asphalt binder patch (110 LB/SY) matching existing asphalt grade/elevation g. Note: Tack Coat and Wearing Asphalt is in separate unit quantity/pricing
