a. Receive assignments directly from the Director and/or the County Administrator; provide strategic advice, direction, and recommendations; and prepare, pursue, monitor, track, and/or lobby for or against legislative measures. b. Attend scheduled hearings, meetings, and other gatherings where policy or legislation that may affect the County is proposed, developed, or discussed, and report to the Board of Supervisors—through the County Administrator and Director—on the status of such legislation or issues on at least a weekly basis during the legislative session or as otherwise requested. c. Report to, seek guidance from, and make recommendations to the County Administrator, the Director, or the Director’s designee as to the positions that are to be advanced on behalf of the County on specific issues, legislative bills, and proposed amendments thereto, and on all other related matters, on at least a weekly basis during the legislative session.
