Temple University (“Temple”) is seeking qualified contractors to bid on work for General Construction Package No. 2, Façade Repairs, for Temple’s Terra Hall Repairs and Renovations project (“Project”) to be constructed at Temple’s Center City Campus (“TUCC”), Philadelphia, PA. This Project involves the renovation of a 274,000-square-foot academic building to address critical infrastructure needs and implement upgrades in preparation for the relocation of a major campus unit. The effort also includes evaluating opportunities for additional functional uses within the facility. This package, P2 - General Construction Package No. 2, Façade Repairs, includes comprehensive exterior façade rehabilitation and full window sealant replacement. Façade work consists of targeted brick and stone repairs, removal and replacement of all failed joint sealants, steel lintel repair, replacement and re-anchoring, re-anchoring of fiberglass decorative panels, and cleaning and sealing of all exterior surfaces. All perimeter sealants at hung windows and the lower-level curtain walls will be removed and replaced to restore air and water integrity. The bidder, if any, awarded this P-2 General Construction Package No. 2, Façade Repairs (the “Façade Repairs Prime Contractor”), shall serve as, and have the duties of, the General Prime Contractor (as defined in Construction Agreement (Multi-Prime)) until such time as Temple notifies the Façade Repairs Prime Contractor in writing that another Prime Contractor (as defined in Construction Agreement (Multi-Prime)) has been assigned the duties of General Prime Contractor.
