The Town of Hillsborough owns the West Fork Eno Reservoir in Cedar Grove, NC, about 20 minutes from town. The dam has a piano key weir and concrete spillway. It was originally put into service in early 2001 and a phase 2 expansion was completed around 2022. The reservoir and all town properties surrounding it are in restrictive deed so there is no public access for any type of recreation. The intent of this solicitation is to select a firm with specialty focus on drinking water reservoirs and dams to perform the recommended tasks identified in a recent annual dam inspection report (Attachment A). The selected firm will be able to perform the recommended tasks itself or in conjunction with subconsultants or subcontractors. The selected firm may be asked to carry forth further design, permitting, bid, construction administration and observation services once the initial in-depth evaluations are completed and a more succinct scope of work is identified.
