This FEMA project will repair flooding damage caused by severe winter storms which resulted in Federal Declared Disaster DR-4593-WA. High water level and wind fallen trees caused streamflow to undermine the concrete footing of the existing modular block retaining wall, resulting in a portion of the wall collapsing into the creek. Temporary measures are in place including a chain link fence and erosion control sacks. The goals of the project are to restore the trail to its original width and to construct stream bank bioengineering reinforcement to protect the trail from future flooding damage.
