To provide outdoor power equipment, battery systems, chargers, and tracking devices. This procurement will support grounds maintenance operations across multiple CHA sites and ensure compliance with the City of Cambridge’s new ordinance prohibiting the use of gas-powered leaf blowers. The not-to-exceed cost for this project will be $100,000.00. This contract is being procured in accordance with MGL Chapter 30B and will be awarded to the responsible vendor offering the equipment needed at the lowest price. By transitioning to Milwaukee’s M18 FUEL™ battery-powered outdoor equipment, CHA will eliminate reliance on gas-powered blowers, reduce environmental impact, and maintain year-round readiness within the ordinance’s permitted operating windows. The selected vendor will be responsible for supplying the specified equipment, providing applicable warranties, and assisting with configuration of the Milwaukee ONE-KEY™ Bluetooth Tracking Tag system for inventory control and asset management.
