The student transportation program shall include, but is not limited to, the following key components: Routes and Stops Design efficient and effective transportation routes. Establish strategically located stops to minimize travel time and ensure accessibility for all students. Vehicle Fleet Provide a well-maintained fleet of vehicles with all required safety features. Ensure vehicles are suitable for general and special needs student populations, including those requiring accessibility accommodations. Trained Staff Employ only licensed, experienced, and well-trained drivers. Ensure drivers and aides are equipped to maintain a safe and positive environment while transporting students. Safety Measures Enforce strict safety protocols, including mandatory seatbelt usage (where applicable), regular safety inspections, emergency procedure training and compliance with traffic and transportation regulations
