The selected Bidder shall: 1. Calibrate all ArrowTech Model 138 and Model 725 dosimeters to manufacturer and industry standards. It is recommended annual calibration is conducted using NIST-traceable gamma or X-Ray sources. 2. Industry Standards are ANSI N13.5 Performance standards for direct-reading dosimeters. ANSI N323A/N323B/N322 Radiation protection instrument calibration requirements. NIST Handbook 150-23 Guidelines for traceability and calibration of radiation protection instruments. 3. Dosimeters and survey meters are required to be calibrated annually during a state fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). 4. A detailed calibration certificate for each dosimeter, including serial number, calibration date, calibration source and exposure level, measured accuracy and any corrective actions taken must be provided. Technician’s name and laboratory accreditation also. 5. A Calibration label or tag is also affixed to each dosimeter showing the calibration date and next due date. 6. Coordinate with KDEM for receiving dosimeters in 2–3 batches, as necessary. 7. Ensure all dosimeters are securely packaged and returned at the contractor’s expense. 8. Complete calibration and return within an agreed-upon timeframe.
