The City of Nevada Missouri is engaging in a project to replace the existing pool and renovate portions of its existing Walton Aquatic Center. Walton Aquatic Center was originally built in 1978 and renovated in 2004 to add play areas, meet ADA requirements, and renovate buildings. The citizens of Nevada passed a half cent sales tax in August of 2024. Of that half cent sales tax, a quarter of that tax is to build a pool for the community.
