The purpose of this project is to modernize one (1) in-ground hydraulic passenger elevator in the Crabbe Library. The upgrade will ensure the elevator meet all Kentucky Building Code (KBC) and ASME A17.1-2010 elevator requirements. The work will involve the installation of new equipment, as specified, while reusing and modifying existing components where applicable. The following is included in the scope of work: - All required materials. - Demolition of existing systems as necessary. - Labor for installation and modifications. - Applicable taxes, freight, and permits. - System adjustments and testing. - A 12-month warranty on all installed equipment and components. The following tasks required by code will be provided by others and included in the price: 1. Electrical, fire alarm, and sprinkler upgrades or changes. 2. HVAC requirements for the existing machine room, including sump pump installation and cover. 3. Removal and replacement of existing flooring and installation of new flooring as selected by the University. 4.
