Qualified entitiessubmitting project applications for the HUD CoC Program Competition funding must meet all statutory and regulatory requirements of The Act and 24 CFR Part 578 unless HUD approves a waiver to a provision in 24 CFR Part 578. RENEWAL PROJECT APPLICANTS shall have current CoC project(s) for which they will apply for renewal. Applicants can be non-profit organizations, states, local governments, and instrumentalities of state and local governments. For-profit entities are not eligible to apply for grants or act as subrecipients of grant funds. All subrecipients must also meet the eligibility standards as described below. RENEWAL PROJECT APPLICANTS must: • Hold current and valid 501(c)(3) status as determined by the Internal Revenue Service if a nonprofit organization. • Be chartered or registered with the Florida Department of State, have been incorporated for at least one agency fiscal year, and have provided services for at least six (6) months if a non-profit organization.
