The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to solicit sealed bids from qualified vendors and/or authorized dealers for DFS to purchase a Quantum 3D Microscope System (including Q3M S1 and Q3M F1 Models) or Equal. This is a three-dimensional imaging system for bullets and cartridge cases. It is the intent of DFS to purchase one system, with the option of purchasing up to three (3) additional systems within 18 months at the same price, unless DFS is unable to successfully validate the initial unit for use in case work in Virginia. The 18-month window begins after delivery, installation/setup, testing and/or calibration, and operational training has been completed, and is also contingent upon availability of funds.
