Preparation • The Contractor shall prepare all areas receiving new paint. Preparations include but are not limited to protection of furniture, windows and flooring, removal of all wall-hanging items that are not hardwired, removal of all identified wall and door signage (signage shall be boxed up and handed to the County POC), removal of electrical covers, moving furniture and other office accessories, repair of all walls and hard ceilings by ensuring smooth surfaces (if a surface consist of wallpaper that requires repairs, said repairs shall consist of the same texture), clean all surfaces by removing tape, dirt and stains, caulk trim and moldings as necessary. A minimum of two (2) coats of primer shall be used, if necessary. The base bid areas are highlighted in Yellow within the diagram below. Painting • The Contractor shall paint the Yellow highlighted areas within the diagram below Agreeable Gray (SW 7029) with an eggshell finish with a minimum of two (2) coats. All corner guards shall be painted Agreeable Gray. • Paint shall be applied evenly by brush or roller without runs, drips, air bubbles or other defects to all areas being painted. • The Contractor shall paint any hard ceilings within the project area with flat white ceiling paint. Schedule • Work shall be performed in phases outside normal business hours or as dictated by the County POC. • The awarded Contractor shall submit a phased project schedule post award. • Interested Contractors shall contact the County POC below to schedule a site visit.
