Identity, School Culture & Community Partnering ○ Professional Learning for Staff - Target areas (Cultural & Linguistic Responsive Instructional Practices, biliteracy instruction, core academic areas and the arts; ) ○ Program Resources and Supports for Family Engagement – Strengthening communication, trust, and collaboration between families and the school. (ex. Parent university series to support areas of focus) 2. Inquiry Learning & Academic Excellence – Supplementing high-quality teaching and learning opportunities for all students. (ex. Extra curricular tutoring, mentoring programs. etc.) ii. Math iii. Science iv. Social Studies v. Fine Arts vi. STEM integration 3. Taking Informed Action/Social Justice ○ Heritage Hall – Supporting design, curation, and maintenance of the school’s atrium space to honor the historic Foster School and Evanston’s 5th Ward to we value from the past to transmit to future generations. ○ Sustainability and Beautification Efforts, specifically around green space initiatives, the school gardens, and school sustainability practices. 4. Fundraising Initiatives – Coordinating financial support for student and family activities, school operations, programs, and events to support the above areas of focus. 5. Alternate proposals that are aligned with the Foster School goals.
