The Contractor shall complete inspections least once a year, or as minimally as demanded by the type of extinguisher. INSPECTIONS MUST INCLUDE: A. Verification that the unit is in the designated place. B. Verification that access to or visibility of the unit is not obstructed. C. Verification that the extinguisher is fully charged and operable. D. Annotation of when the extinguisher is next due for hydro-testing. E. Verification that no seals or tamper indicators are not broken; replacement as necessary. F. Verification that the extinguisher has not been physically damaged. G. Verification that the extinguisher does not have other obvious defects. H. Verification that the maintenance record tag is up-to-date. RECHARGING REQUIREMENTS: A. Onsite-recharging for extinguishers is highly desirable. B. If re-charging occurs off-site: a. The extinguisher(s) being recharged must be returned as quickly as possible the Contractor must provide loaned extinguisher coverage prior to removal. b. The Contractor shall arrive at the site with sufficient replacement loaner extinguishers to adequately cover the site. c. After recharging or testing, extinguishers must be returned to the same location on-site, delivery to the main office or a central drop off is not acceptable...
