This bid is for the refurbishment of the Waterfront Department’s 1,000-pound capacity Hoist #2 located on the South side of the City Pier in Santa Barbara Harbor. The bid will include the installation of a replacement wench assembly and control circuits as well as the replacement of the existing electrical panel and service disconnect all of which is to be supplied by the contractor. The selected contractor will provide all bonds, insurance, necessary materials, equipment, supervision, parts, labor, and appurtenances necessary for the project unless specified in this document. The contractor will supply all needed equipment (crane, slings, weights, etc.) for the removal, transportation, repair, installation, annual load testing of the hoist, and certification. The contractor will not have exclusive use of the City Pier since it is constantly accessed by others including commercial fishing, fuel dock, Icehouse & the US Coast Guard. All lifting operations from the City Pier must be coordinated with Waterfront’s Facility Manager.
