The Sage Elementary School and Terrebonne Community School Cooling Retrofit projects aim to improve thermal comfort, enhance HVAC system performance, and provide dependable year-round climate control through comprehensive cooling system upgrades. At Sage Elementary School, key improvements include installing a new chiller sized to meet the cooling needs of the entire campus, implementing a chilled-water distribution system to serve all mechanical-room air handling units, and adding cooling coils at those units to ensure consistent temperature regulation. At Terrebonne Community School, the upgrades include the addition of a chilled water cooling system comprising of an air cooled chiller, pumps, and other accessories for a complete system. There will also be various split system cooling solutions for the admin, library, kitchen, and various classrooms. In addition, a new heating solution for the existing gymnasium comprising new ductwork and equipment will be installed. The District will use a Construction Manager | General Contractor (CM|GC) delivery method to promote collaboration, shorten project timelines, and improve cost control. Early involvement of the CM|GC during design will provide valuable preconstruction insight, improve constructability, reduce risks, and support a cost-effective project outcome
