Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, materials, hardware, tools, equipment, machinery, supplies, traffic control, safety measures, and appurtenant Work necessary to provide application of Type 1 slurry seal followed by the re-striping of markings, including parking stalls and ADA-compliant markings, add wheel stops at each parking stall (5) total within the parking lot of CFD 4 Seabridge community. Work shall include: A. Site Preparation – Thoroughly clean entire asphalt surface using mechanical blowers and/or power brooms to remove all dirt, dust, debris, and loose material. Remove any vegetation from cracks or edges. Mask or cover any fixtures, drains, or structures that must not be sealed. Contractor shall barricade or otherwise restrict access to treated areas until fully cured and ready for striping and traffic. B. Slurry Seal Application –Apply two coats of a Type 1 slurry seal (fine aggregate mix) across the entire identified asphalt surface (approx. 2,960 SF). C. Materials – Must comply with Caltrans Standard Specifications Section 37 or equivalent state/local standards. Application thickness and rate must follow manufacturer’s guidelines and industry best practices. Ensure uniform coverage and proper cure time based on manufacturer's recommendation. Prepare and protect surface from all forms of traffic 24 hours before and after using signage and a blockade/barricades of some form. D. Striping and Pavement Markings – Re-stripe the parking lot to match or be similar to the existing layout. Striping must use traffic-grade paint designed for slurry surfaces. All markings must comply with ADA, MUTCD, and local jurisdiction requirements. E. The Contractor shall provide all materials, hardware, tools, equipment, necessary to complete the project, including all mobilization and materials necessary to secure the site for the duration of the work. Signage – Signage stating “Parking Lot Closed” and the method by which the signs will be displayed shall be submitted prior to work start. Signs shall be at least 8.5” x 11” in size and shall be secured at least ten feet from the work area.
