The anticipated scope of services includes the various landscape architecture, park planning, public engagement, and detailed design and documentation tasks typically necessary to plan, budget, control, permit, bid, and control construction and/or renovation of park improvements. The city anticipates tasks may include, but are not limited to: Park Planning & Public Engagement • Site/park master planning • System amenity planning & prioritization (i.e. – citywide sport court repair planning, etc.) • Neighborhood engagement, including development of support materials (boards, renderings, etc.) • Grant application support for park projects • ADA accessibility review and planning Project Validation & Schematic Design • Alternative site layout design concepts • Site assessments • Site plan & perspective renderings Detailed Design, Construction Documentation, & Permitting • Park design and construction documentation, including: o plans, specifications & construction documents of sufficient detail to horizontally & vertically control park improvements o Hardscape design & documentation (including walkways, sport courts, and plazas) o Pathway & trail layout and design o Grading & drainage plans o Splash-pad & spray park design o Sports field design o Playground design o Planting design o Irrigation design o Interpretive & wayfinding signage development • Permit application & support (SEPA checklist & application, building permits, etc). • Drawing coordination with subconsultants and/or project teams Budget & Bid Support • Area takeoffs • Park construction budget estimation • Pre-bid meeting preparation and attendance • Contractor RFI response and bid clarification Construction Administration • Submittal review • Site visits, inspection and assessment for conformance with contract plans • Project punch lists & backchecks
