Concrete Precast Box Culverts specified herein shall conform to the current Standard Specification (dated January 2025) for Concrete Precast Box Culverts as required by the New York State Department of Transportation and shall conform to the State of New York Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, Construction, and Materials, dated January 1, 2025. Section 706-17, Precast Concrete Box Culverts. Culverts shall have no fewer than two mechanical connectors per side of box to be left in place after construction. All connectors shall be outside the box. Contractor shall provide appropriate lifting anchors per piece of culvert and shall provide the usage of lifting mechanisms to offload and set pieces. Inside Corner fillets are acceptable; span and rise measurements shall be from the inside center of the culvert in either direction. The acceptance of any materials by the County Superintendent of Public Works shall not necessarily prevent subsequent rejection should the materials be found to be defective or should they fail to comply with the specifications. The price quoted shall include delivery to specific job sites (GPS Coordinates below), unless noted otherwise, via motor truck within 90 days after a specific order is placed. Washington County DPW will notify contractor 10 working days prior to delivery. Washington County DPW will be responsible for unloading motor truck freight.
