The City of Greenbelt is seeking a qualified Contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, software, and services necessary to implement an Automated Stop Sign Enforcement Program. The Contractor shall design, install, operate, and maintain a fully functional automated enforcement system that complies with Federal, State of Maryland, and local laws and regulations. The scope of this proposal includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. System Design & Technology • Provide fixed-post or mobile trailer-based camera systems equipped with radar, lidar, or equivalent technology capable of detecting and documenting stop sign violations. • Ensure the system is capable of capturing high-resolution images and/or video sufficient to identify the vehicle o License plates and violation details. o Utilize technology that minimizes false positives and ensures accurate violation capture. 2. Installation & Deployment • Coordinate with City staff for site selection, traffic studies, and placement of stop sign camera systems. • Install equipment in accordance with all safety standards and best practices. • Ensure minimal disruption to traffic and the community during deployment.
