SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Mental Health (OMH) is looking to obtain quotes for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): EMDR is based on the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model, which posits that traumatic memories can become stuck in the brain, leading to ongoing emotional distress. Training will provide a comprehensive understanding of the EMDR approach, including its theoretical foundations, methodologies and practical applications. Learn the history, principles and mechanisms of EMDR therapy, including the AIP model that underlies the technique. Engage in supervised practice sessions where participants can apply EMDR techniques. Consultation calls to support participants to ensure they are doing the work safely and effectively. Provide this training in person over multiple sessions of either 2 – 3 day trainings OR 3 – 2 day trainings for up to 15 participants.
