The Host Agency will provide a safe and supportive space in the City of Chelsea for the Chelsea/Revere Regional Emergency Warming Center (REWC). The Warming Center shall be accessible to public transportation. Host Agency will ensure that the facility has met all City ISD and Fire Department codes and regulations. The REWC will open on or around January 1, 2026, through March 31, 2026, seven days a week, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. During this period, the Host Agency will provide a safe, warm, and welcoming environment for individuals seeking refuge from the winter weather. This initiative aims to guarantee that unhoused community members in Chelsea and the surrounding area have reliable access to warmth, nourishment, and supportive services during the most challenging months of the year. Host Agency will provide a safe space indicative of a congregate hall space, providing within that space, a private area for women.
